In 1990, the members of New Edition had pursued solo projects that became very successful, and everybody was waiting for what Ralph Tresvant was going to delivered and would it be a hit. He delivered a classic, smooth flowing mid-tempo ballad "Sensitivity" which became an instant classic and a hit with the ladies and fellas. Written and produced by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, the song has great beats, percussion, and showcases Tresvant's ability to sing lead, background and harmony, which can be heard in the call and response he has with himself. The lyrics are also timeless about letting a woman know that there are men who can provide them sensitivity.
